October's MEET THE MEMBERS introduces you to our hosts for the NCCC Halloween party, Lucy and Paul Levine. Paul and Lucy have opened their home for several club events and if you haven't met these two, they are easily recognized. The long and short of it is, Paul rises above

the crowd at 6'4" and Lucy will be a little harder to find at 5'1" but won't be too far from her college sweetheart. They have been married for 35 years and have one son. Paul admits to love at first sight but confirmed his feelings only after Lucy spewed a big ol' gulp of coke through her nose on one of their first dates. That's COCA COLA! They both graduated from New Paltz College in New Paltz, NY where the couple started their life together. Paul was working his way thru college as a pizza delivery guy and the couple spent a lot of their dates in that pizza wagon. Hummm....connotes a whole new meaning for DOUBLE CHEESE please! Lucy, now retired from her teaching career where she taught art and Special Ed, enjoys life in Florida. She loves antique restoration, painting, photography, and all kinds of crafts. Paul started his college days as a pre med student but found his life at the "ANIMAL" frat house much more fun. He graduated with a liberal arts degree and began his career as a social worker. After stepping through the ranks, he retired as the warden of Wyoming Correctional Institution of Attica, NY. And I thought my job exposed me to diversity! Paul, like many of us, got mom's old car for his first ride. It was a '61 Ford Falcon, but in' 92,  Lucy and Paul bought their first Corvette...a beautiful black 1979 "T" top which they own and love today. Paul's favorite car is a '63 Split Window Coupe and Lucy well, on her list of priorities, cars are on the bottom. I'd bet that most of us counted days until we were old enough to get that all important drivers license. Lucy is still counting those days and she's been old enough for ... well never mind!
